Overview
Tunza Afya is a telehealth platform designed to support maternal journeys and chronic condition tracking. The challenge was to create a multi-user system that could serve patients, doctors, and healthcare organizations while maintaining accessibility and trust.
Process
Began with user interviews across hospitals, doctors, and patients to map different user journeys. Information architecture was structured around the most critical needs appointments, health tracking, and communication, while ensuring scalability for additional features. Prototyping and iterative testing were conducted to refine flows and identify pain points early.
Solution
Designed patient and provider dashboards, appointment booking flows, and condition tracking tools with a focus on simplicity and inclusivity. Visual design emphasized clarity and accessibility, while consistent design patterns supported trust in sensitive health contexts. Supporting collateral was also created to strengthen the product’s positioning in the healthcare sector.
Impact: The platform improved care coordination between patients and providers, reduced booking friction, and increased engagement across different user groups. Tunza Afya positioned the client as a credible telehealth provider, strengthening their impact in maternal and chronic care.
