Redesigned a group savings platform to simplify onboarding, contributions, and management, improving usability and adoption.
Problem
Chamify, a group savings and investment platform, struggled with low user completion rates. Users found it difficult to navigate through the end-to-end cycle of contributions, penalties, and payouts. Technical inefficiencies in reconciling group finances created frustration, while the lack of core features such as meeting planning, asset management, and welfare tracking limited adoption and engagement.
Approach
I led the redesign of Chamify with a focus on clarity, usability, and financial accuracy. Starting with user interviews and journey mapping, I identified friction points across saving cycles and transaction reconciliation. I streamlined the flows to ensure users could easily contribute, track penalties, and manage group finances. New features like meeting planning, fundraising tools, and welfare tracking were designed with scalable architecture and tested with pilot user groups.
Impact
The redesigned platform improved task completion by 35%, as users were able to complete savings cycles with fewer drop-offs. Streamlined reconciliation reduced reporting errors by 40%, increasing trust in the system. The introduction of new features boosted overall platform engagement by 25%, strengthening Chamify’s position as a comprehensive group savings solution.
